As the new trend swept social media, tweeple were disappointed and remembered the teenager who went viral saying he used his family’s smart fridge to reach his thousands of Twitter followers.

Ever since Elon Musk took over Twitter, the social media platform has undergone a series of changes. In what comes as a new change, the microblogging platform will no longer display the device from which the tweet was sent. “Twitter has removed the ability to see which device a tweet came from. (Twitter for iPhone, Twitter for Android),” a Twitter handle called ‘Pubity’ said in the post, which was later updated by Musk. As the new change swept the social media, tweeple got nostalgic and remembered the teenager which went viral because he claimed to have used his family’s smart fridge to reach his thousands of followers on Twitter.

Fan Ariana Grande who calls herself “Dorothy” wrote on twitter that her mother had taken away her phone but she found many new ways around the ban. These, he said in a series of tweets, include a Nintendo handheld device, a Wii U gaming console and his family’s LG smart refrigerator. And now, Twitter people are on a mission to post his tweets all over the social media.

“Twitter has officially removed the feature that tells you what device the tweet was sent from and I just want to say that Dorothy we will never forget it,” wrote a Twitter user.

Meanwhile, earlier, the Twitter Chief also dismissed indications that Twitter’s payment processing system is in the works, pointing to a plan to rival PayPal. For those who don’t know PayPal is one of the companies he co-founded. He made it even stronger when he responded to a Tweet from Doge Designer’s Twitter handle saying, “The man who reinvented the payment system in 1999 is determined to do it again.” In response to this, Musk wrote, “It’s going to be great.”

Musk also has previous experience in payments dating back to his founding of X.com. This happened as an early iteration of digital payment systems.
