Invitation to MSME and start-ups for nominations for the National Technology Awards, 2023
New Delhi, December 16 (KNN) The Technology Development Board (TDB), a statutory body of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), invites applications for technological innovations that have helped advance the country under the aegis of the “National Technology Award”.
Over the years, it covered categories such as startup incubator, MSME and Translational Research & Technology Business Incubator.
These awards are given to various industries for the successful commercialization of innovative indigenous technologies, and the deadline for submitting applications is January 15, 2023, 17:00.
This annual recognition provides a platform to recognize Indian industry and their technology provider as they work to bring innovation to market and help contribute to the vision of ‘Aatma Nirbhar Bharat’.
For the major National Technology Award, where the technology developer/supplier and technology commercializer are two different organizations, each is eligible for a prize of Rs 25 lakh and a trophy.
In the MSME category, the prize will be awarded to MSMEs that successfully commercialized a product based on domestic technology in April 2017 or later.
The winners will receive cash prizes of Rs 15 lakh and a total of three prizes will be awarded, including one reserved for female-led MSMEs.
In the startup category, the award will be given to a technology startup for a promising new technology with potential for commercialization.
Five startups, including one reserved for female-led startups, will receive cash prizes of Rs 15 lakh.
