Godrej Yummiez, the ready-to-cook brand of Godrej Tyson Foods (GTFL), has expanded its vegetarian portfolio with the launch of Godrej Yummiez Crispy Potato Starz.

The latest acquisition was the third presentation in the vegetarian category this year. Earlier, the company launched paneer pops and mixed vegetables.

The product will be available at online and offline retail outlets in 400 gram and 750 gram packs priced at Rs 125 and Rs 225 respectively. It will be manufactured at the company’s facility in Ludhiana.

The company expects the brand portfolio expansion to boost overall growth for Godrej Yummiez by 30 percent in FY23.

“We aim to have Godrej Yummiez Crispy Potato Starz in over 7,000 general and modern stores within a year,” said Abhay Parnerkar, CEO, Godrej Tyson Foods.

He added that the size of the vegetable frozen food segment is projected to be about two-thirds of the total frozen food category. The frozen food market is estimated to be around Rs 3,500 crore and the category saw accelerated growth during the pandemic and continues to grow today.

The brand portfolio consists of more than 50 veg and non-veg products, including nuggets, patties, salami, sausages, kebabs, sweet corn and green peas.
