Tech companies such as Samsung, Sony, Ambrane, Tecno and Godrej launched new lineups of smartphones, soundbars, projectors and more this week (December 12-18).

DH Gadgets Weekly lists the latest personal tech products to keep you up to date with everything happening in the world of consumer electronics.

Samsung Galaxy M04
It has a 6.5-inch HD+ (1560 × 720p) LCD Infinity-V display and comes with a 3.5mm audio jack and three slots (for two nano SIM cards and a microSD card).

Inside is a 12nm class MediaTek Helio P35 octa-core processor with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU, One UI Core 4.1 based on Android 12, 4GB of RAM, 64GB / 128GB of storage (expandable up to 1TB), a module with dual camera – 13MP + 2MP depth sensor with LED flash on the back, 5MP front camera with face unlock support and 5000mAh battery with 15W charger.

The Galaxy M04 supports the RAM Plus feature, which allows users to expand the RAM up to 8GB if there is enough storage space. In addition, Samsung has promised four years of security updates and two OS upgrades for the device.

It comes in two colors– sea glass green and shadow blue. It comes in two storage options– 64GB and 128GB– for Rs 8,499 and Rs 9,499 respectively.

Sony 4K SXRDTM Laser Home Projectors– VPL-XW7000ES & VPL-XW5000ES
Japan’s flagship 4K SXRDTM technology laser projectors featuring the world’s smallest 0.61″ Native 4K SXRD panel (3840 x 2160p). They promise to deliver an immersive high-definition, high-contrast viewing experience in a compact body design.

They boast new wide dynamic range optics combined with TRILUMINOUS PRO technology to deliver a 4K HDR experience on a large screen with a brightness of up to 3200 lm.

They are powered by Sony’s X1 Ultimate projector processor, similar to the one seen in Sony’s ultra-premium BRAVIA smart TVs. The company says the processor enables unique features such as Dynamic HDR Enhancer and Object-based Super Resolution to create an extended dynamic range and exceptional clarity that enhances the viewing experience.

In addition, the top model VPL-XW7000ES is equipped with an Advanced Focusing Lens (ACF) and Live Color Enhancer for an enhanced viewing experience. Also, the device and packaging are made with environmentally friendly methods and reduce the carbon footprint.

The Sony VPL-XW7000ES is priced at Rs 16,00,000 and the VPL-XW5000ES is priced at Rs 5,50,000.

Godrej Hot and cold AC
It is a 3-star air conditioner and has a double rotary inverter compressor for efficient refrigerant flow.

It uses rapid defrost technology for a shorter defrost cycle and its 5 in 1 convertible technology offers five different cooling levels to set the desired cooling/heating requirements based on the weather, the number of people in the room and individual temperature settings.

Other key features include a nano-coated anti-virus filter that removes 99.9 percent of viral particles from the air to ensure safety. It comes with 100% copper coils and a connecting tube for increased efficiency and durability. It also has anti-corrosion blue fins that resist corrosion for a long time. In line with Godrej’s commitment to the environment, this air conditioner uses environmentally friendly refrigerant R32, which does not deplete the ozone layer and has a low global warming potential.

An air conditioner can cool your room in the scorching summer heat, when temperatures can soar above 50 degrees Celsius, and it can warm the room in cold winters, even when the ambient temperature reaches temperatures as low as -7 degrees Celsius. Air conditioning units are very suitable for areas that use heaters in winter. It costs 65,900 rubles.

Sony’s new soundbars
They come with slim designs made from premium materials that help blend in better with the rest of the home. They feature unique 360-degree surround sound mapping and sound field optimization technology to ensure that owners sitting in their living room are provided with immersive cinematic surround sound.

As the name suggests, the HT-A5000 is the top model and has a 450W speaker, while the HT-A3000 delivers 240W of sound.

They easily connect to Bluetooth and WI-FI to stream content. They are best matched with Sony BRAVIA TVs for the ultimate audiovisual experience with Acoustic Center Sync.

They also support voice activation for a seamless experience with Alexa and Google Assistant. Sony HT-A5000 (with SW3) price starts at Rs 1,11,980 and Sony HT-A3000 (with SW3) costs Rs 83,980 in India.

Ambrane Wise Glaze
It is touted as India’s first smartwatch with an AMOLED display that supports 1000 nits of brightness. It has a 1.78-inch display and features a premium build and design with an IP68 housing and a skin-friendly silicone strap.

It offers over 100 watch faces, including interactive watch faces, live watch faces, customizable widgets, and personalization options.

It supports Bluetooth voice calling, supports more than 100 sports modes, which include standard running, walking and cycling, as well as extreme sports such as gymnastics, yoga, hiking, cross fit, dancing, karate, taekwondo, horse riding, disc games and more. Wise Glaze can track blood oxygen levels (SpO2), track sleep, send reminders about sitting and drinking water, and track women’s menstrual cycles.

With a 280 mAh battery, Wise Glaze can offer up to seven days of battery life. It costs Rs.1999.

HP Smart Tank printers
They promise to deliver an enhanced user experience with intuitive and seamless setup, smart features and better connectivity – including self-healing Wi-Fi and mobility with Smart App and Smart Advance.

HP’s new inkjet printers can also print up to 18,000 pages in black and white or up to 6,000 color pages for continuous printing with the option of pre-filled ink.

The new printer boasts sustainably manufactured components consisting of approximately 45 percent post-consumer recycled content. They also boast EPEAT Silver and Energy Star certifications.

The HP Smart Tank 580, 520 and 210 series are available at Rs 18,848, Rs 15,980 and Rs 13,326 respectively.

Tecno Phantom X2 series
The new device comes in two variants– Phantom X2 and X2 Pro. They feature a 6.8-inch curved AMOLED panel with support for a 120Hz refresh rate, a 360Hz touch sampling rate, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The regular X2 model has 8GB of RAM, while the X2 Pro has 12GB. Both the devices support virtual memory which allows the user to expand the RAM up to 5GB more if the phone has enough storage space. Additionally, the new phones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 series.

The new devices will launch in India in the coming months and the price will be revealed during the local launch event.
